Disney’s Youth Education Series (Y.E.S) takes students inside and behind the scenes of the Walt Disney World Theme Parks.  Various Programs showcase how things learned in the classroom are used every day to make magic the Disney way!  These educational programs, which are led by specially trained Disney facilitators, are designed to motivate and inspire learners of all ages!  The programs offered use the Disney rides, shows and exhibits to teach students about many different fields of study.  Each Disney park has its own special programs and are grade specific for age Kindergarten through 12th Grade.  See below to learn more about the programs offered.

US Capitol

US Capitol

This trip to our nation’s capital allows students to actually experience Washington, DC.  The opportunity to see where decisions are made that have shaped our country, to feel the honor and reverence of Arlington National Cemetery at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and to stand inside the monuments that stand as symbols of our freedom.  This tour can be customized to best suit your group’s needs and grade level.

Jarrell Plantation

Students will have the opportunity to visit a working South Georgia Plantation.  Learn the history of cotton, timber, the Civil War and plantation life in the 1800′s.  Also included on the tour is a visit to the Ocmulgee Indian Mounds.  These are some of the largest Indian mounds in the state of Georgia!  This day trip package includes transportation, all tours and admissions, snacks and drinks along the way and a boxed lunch.

Cumberland Island

Cumberland Island is Georgia’s largest and southernmost barrier island.  Pristine maritimeforests, undeveloped beaches and wide marshes whisper the stories of both man and nature.  Come walk in the footsteps of early natives, explorers, and wealthy industrialists.  Enjoy a ferry ride to the island where a park ranger will discuss the island’s history, the plants, wildlife and marshes.  A nature walk around the island is also included for students to collect shells and sharks teeth along the beach.
